The family court in St Lawrence county is a joke along with dss. I guess they have forgotten the Joshua sharlow tragedy and want to repeat it. My brother and sister in law have had a beautiful baby boy that they were adopting for five months because the crackhead birthmother didn't want him because she can't even take care of the fifteen month old she has. She has been turned in to dss 15 times twice by doctors for malnutrition and they are still returning the baby to her . I just don't get it
I agree wholeheartedly with Joy Collins' comment as far as Family Court is concerned. That has been my experience as well. Even when you win your case with Family Court, you come out of there feeling as if you've lost. The attorneys and judges don't listen and the docket is always so backed up, you literally spend all day there - you're lucky if your case gets called shortly before everyone leaves for the day.
